By using Practix you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
What Practix is
Practix is a study tool. You supply your own course material and your own AI provider key, and Practix generates practice questions and grades your answers.
It is currently offered free of charge and is provided as-is. There is no uptime commitment, and the service may change or be discontinued at any time.
You need your own API key
Practix does not include AI credits. You bring your own key — from OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI or Google — and any charges incurred against that key are between you and that provider. You are responsible for keeping your key secure and for all usage billed to it.
Your material
You keep all rights to the documents you upload. You are responsible for having the right to use them — do not upload material you are not permitted to copy or process.
Practix claims no ownership of your material and, as described in the Privacy Policy, never receives a copy of your files.
Academic honesty
Practix is intended for private study and self-assessment. It is your responsibility to use it in line with your institution's academic integrity rules. Do not use it to complete graded work, take-home exams, or any assessment where outside assistance is prohibited.
Accuracy
Questions, answers, grades and explanations are produced by a language model and can be wrong. Nothing Practix generates should be treated as authoritative, as a prediction of what will appear on a real exam, or as a substitute for your course material and instructor. Always check important answers against a trustworthy source.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Practix for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Upload material containing other people's personal information.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Practix is provided without warranties of any kind, and its operator is not liable for any loss arising from your use of it — including academic outcomes, lost work, or charges incurred against your own API key.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continuing to use Practix after a change means you accept it.
